Collective teacher efficacy hinges on trust and the belief that educators can move student learning forward. In this piece, Mirko lays out six strategies to build that trust: invite teachers to observe and learn from one another; empower staff to design and lead their own professional development; dedicate time at faculty meetings for quick “mini shares” of successes; use inter‑rater reliability sessions to calibrate grading and deepen dialogue; host book studies to spark courageous conversations; and model UDL in PD so every adult experiences flexible options. He reminds leaders that authentic relationships, courageous reflection and teacher voice are the foundation for a thriving learning community.
