Following the release of UDL Guidelines 3.0, Mirko highlights key changes. CAST shifted the goal from developing “expert learners” to cultivating learner agency, removed adult‑centric “provide” language and emphasised addressing bias, giving students more voice and autonomy, and integrating executive function holistically. Mirko encourages educators to use the update to elevate learner voice, get to know students deeply and co‑create learning with them, aligning the guidelines with equity work.
